Peer-to-Peer Group

Group Overview

The Peer-to-Peer research team at NCSU consists of graduate students and faculty at North Carolina State University conducting research on Peer-to-Peer networks including applications and security. We developed a new fair resource allocation scheme, called Treat-Before-Trick, for Peer-to-Peer based file shraing networks such as BitTorrent?. We are currently focusing on the developement of new applications useful in Peer-to-Peer network and Delay Tolerance Network (DTN) environments, which is accompanied by new routing algorithms and content search/retrieval mechanism.
